Cricket in Namibia
Cricket photography is hard work because you as a photographer has to constantly try to find the best angles to photograph. The reason is that some players are left-handed and you don't want their faces away from you. Another important aspect to keep in mind when setting up your position is the background. By moving further left or right, one can usually find a better background which might not be too distracting. Another consideration is to use a long telephoto lens to get the players big in the shot. All on-field shots were taken with my Sigma 150-600mm lens. Wide-open, it gives sufficient speed to freeze the action.
